Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc. is the leading mortgage subservicing firm in the United States with several hundred financial institution clients nationwide. The Accountant I is responsible for data entry and general entry-level accounting processes, including managing client remittances and accounts payable, as well as assisting with various departmental projects.

Banking

Responsibilities

Daily data entry for client remittances, accounts payable and wire transfers/ACH payments

Preparation of daily deposit

Preparation and mailing of daily check run

Preparation and posting of general journal entries into the accounting program

Communicate with other departments to ensure the smooth processing of all transactions

Filing of all paid invoices and checking copies

Maintain a listing of all company files sent to the outside storage area

Assist in any special projects assigned to the department

Assist in document requests from both internal and outside auditors

Successfully complete annual regulatory compliance training

Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

High School degree

Proficient with Microsoft applications (including advanced Excel experience)

Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to always interact in a positive and professional manner with all levels of both internal and external audiences
