Maintenance Training Manager

Responsibilities
Manage and develop maintenance training instructors, ensuring the quality of instruction aligns with JSX and JSX Technical Operations values, standards, and mission
Advise the VP of Technical Operations, Director of Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement teams on both technical and soft-skill competencies used in the screening and selection of new hires
Serve as a subject matter expert and primary liaison between trainees and company leadership, addressing training-related needs, concerns, and opportunities for improvement
Develop, plan, deliver, present, evaluate, and test required maintenance training courses in accordance with FAA guidance and company policy
Originate, analyze, update, and maintain training courseware to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with operational and regulatory requirements
Identify and initiate training requirements based on applicable regulations, including but not limited to 14 CFR Parts 23, 25, 35, 43, 65, 91, 121, 135, and 145
Ensure training reports are delivered monthly and oversee remediation of trainee performance in accordance with the company maintenance training program
Conceive, develop, and implement new training content based on end-user feedback, maintenance standards, performance data, student needs, and curriculum alignment
Act as the primary liaison with government oversight agencies and external training vendors for all maintenance training–related matters
Remain current on changes to company policies and guidelines and ensure timely communication and distribution through the Training Department company-wide
Ensure all required recurrent training is completed in accordance with the approved training program
Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant training records
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma
2 years of combined experience in Aviation Training, to include developing and administering
3 years air carrier M&E or MRO in the areas of Maintenance Planning & Scheduling, Production Control, Maintenance Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Material Control, Material Planning, Reliability, Maintenance Programs, or Technical Writing
Experience in the use of maintenance reference materials including Manufacturer's Maintenance Manuals, Structural Repair Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, Component Manuals, etc
Experience using electronic maintenance tracking programs
A current and valid Driver's license is required
A Current and valid Airframe and Powerplant Certificate is required
Capable of interpreting drawings, blueprints, service bulletins, AD's and any other related documents required
Must be able to travel to other locations to perform training
Public speaking and teaching
Computer skills to include PowerPoint, Excel, and on-line video meeting
Intermittent physical activity, including bending, reaching, and prolonged periods of sitting
Able to work indoors and outdoors
Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and holidays if required
Experience conducting aviation-specific research and authoring and editing both controlled and uncontrolled documents
Preferred
A.S. or B.S. Degree in aviation technology/aircraft maintenance or equivalent
3+ years of previous classroom instructor experience desired
Previous 14 CFR 121 or 135 maintenance experience highly desired
