They are seeking a Senior Ultrasound Technician to perform and record all sonographic procedures, assist with specialty procedures, and ensure high-quality imaging while participating in departmental performance improvement projects.

Responsibilities
Performs and records all sonographic procedures and assists with some specialty procedures in accordance with established departmental guidelines and protocols
Operates various types of ultrasound equipment, transducers, and recording devices
Recognizes normal and pathological conditions and modifies the exam accordingly to ensure complete and accurate high quality information is obtained
Prepares and positions patient for procedure by using established Ultrasound protocols to achieve the highest quality image
Reviews, verifies and evaluates images to ensure excellent image quality
Trouble shoots and resolves ultrasound related PACS issues
Participates in performance improvement projects within the department
Floats within department as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Job Duties are to be performed at a Practitioner Level
Floats to specialty unit (if qualified)
Assists with mentoring of junior ultrasound technologists and students as needed
Assists other ultrasound technologists with difficult procedures that require advanced skills
Qualification
Required
Graduate of a school of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent years of experience
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in AB and OB/GYN
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date
Two (2) years of relevant clinical experience
Possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated computer skills
