The Quality Engineer will develop and maintain quality engineering methodologies and systems, ensuring they meet both Quanex and customer requirements while supporting departmental and plant quality goals.

Responsibilities

Supports the investigation and resolution of customer questions and concerns

Identify and implement effective process control systems

Develops and initiates quality standards for tests, inspections and evaluations

Partners with manufacturing teams to ensure that equipment and processes are consistent with quality standards

Serves the leader for larger Six Sigma projects including team management and communication to key stakeholders

May work with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet the company’s quality standards

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
