Responsibilities

Utilizes recognized process techniques and other tools to develop, maintain, and present required reports detailing the effectiveness of existing processes or supporting the need to introduce new process improvements
Anticipate needs, work as a problem solver to eliminate potential issues, and enhance consistent delivery of quality products exceeding customer expectations
Assist with elements of the process safety management standard, including but not limited to Management of Change, Process Safety Information, and Pre-Start Up Safety Reviews
Engaged and self-motivated to learn through available educational materials, researching on the internet, and staying up to date on safety and standard operating procedure training and development
Promote cleanliness and order through the implementation of the Total House Keeping Maintenance program

Required

No previous experience required; 1–3 years of experience in polyolefins plant operations or technology, and/or a strong background in polymer chemistry, polymer processing, and analytical troubleshooting/problem-solving is preferred
Energy and Material Balance, Mass Transfer Operations, Kinetics and Reactor Design, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics
Safety Certification or safety classes a plus but not required
DCS and programming experience a plus but not required
Self-motivated, curious and eager to learn
Willingness to take over areas of responsibilities
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required; other related engineering disciplines considered
