Responsibilities
Regulatory Research: Researching and interpreting regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements for existing products and expansion into new regions
Requirement Definition: Translating regulatory demands into clear product requirements and prioritizing features based on risk and urgency
Compliance Logic & Documentation: Drafting initial compliance logic and functional requirements while reviewing internal release notes and wireframes
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serving as the point of contact for Outside Counsel and regulatory agencies to ensure product changes reflect accurate legal guidance
Product Quality & Risk Management: Conducting Risk Assessments to identify compliance risks and developing test cases for routine audits
Client & Internal Enablement: Acting as the compliance expert for Customer Success and Sales, providing jurisdiction-specific insights and enablement content
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in a compliance leadership role at a SaaS software company or consulting firm
Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft compliance advisories and communicate effectively with Outside Counsel and senior leadership
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and quantify compliance risks
Experience working in a cross-functional, globally distributed environment
Preferred
Experience with Workforce Management, labor laws (such as Fair Workweek), and data regulations
