Site Quality Lead
Advanced Thin Films (ATF) is dedicated to developing and manufacturing high-performance optical components for laser markets. The Site Quality Lead will drive a strong culture of quality throughout the company, focusing on quality management systems and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
Lead maintenance of ATF’s ISO registration: surveillance and certification audits, internal audit program, quality management reviews, and execution of corrective/preventative actions from audit findings
Drive cross-functional leadership to ensure quality priorities and objectives are met. Mentor and champion activities to continue quality culture within the organization
Develop and maintain ATF’s quality roadmap in alignment with business goals and objectives
Lead quality planning for development projects or changed processes to ensure risks and opportunities are addressed prior to moving to scaled production
Initiate, facilitate, and lead cross-functional teams for structured problem solving and corrective/preventative actions utilizing various quality tools including Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Monitor in-process and final testing and inspection activities. Track and adjust quality control checks of critical processes in production using charts, statistical data, and reports to ensure customers’ requirements are fulfilled
Solve problems at the point of impact
Implement updated and improved manufacturing technology into processes to improve key metrics
Create and manage timelines for projects
Manage multiple projects at once while balancing daily critical issues
Establish, follow, and enforce all safety regulations
Utilize data analysis techniques to prioritize solutions
Support and continuously improve the RMA program at ATF
Support Nonconformance Reporting program including investigations, disposition, and action plan development by partnering with production and engineering teams
Communicate change effectively at all levels in the organization
Create standard work documents and modify them as needed to drive process repeatability
Train employees in QMS and Quality best practices
Develop and audit best practices to ensure employee performance and development
Own COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) metric and drive RCCMs with teams to ensure scrap is controlled within the facility
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's. or higher in Engineering, Operations Management, or Business Administration with strong experience in quality and manufacturing
3–5 years of experience in process, quality, or optical engineering
Familiarity with statistical process control or similar methods
Must have or be willing to gain working knowledge of quality management systems, ISO 9001 requirements, Lean Principles, Six Sigma, and proficient knowledge of statistics
Strong statistical toolbox; proficient in statistical analysis software such as JMP or Minitab
Ability to use engineering fundamentals to root cause issues and create sustainable countermeasures
Systems thinker with a lean and strategic mindset
Ability to set personal deadlines and project schedules
Strong organizational skills to develop, prioritize, and manage multiple projects
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge and experience with optical test equipment
Working knowledge of database or process software
Hands-on approach to learning and teaching others
Deep understanding and application of problem-solving tools for root cause and corrective action
Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred
Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
