The Plastics Engineering Intern will work on manufacturing optimization of extrusion and balloon processing, gaining valuable engineering and manufacturing experience through focused projects.

Responsibilities
The plastics engineering candidate works under the direction of an experienced process and product engineer focusing on manufacturing optimization of extrusion and/or balloon processing and/or sub-assembly processes
The intern will be responsible for project-based data gathering for sample production runs, data analysis, complaint investigation, product testing, engineering change control, and/or drawing/modeling support
The intern may participate in setting up or running equipment for new or existing products to advance polymer processing understanding
Other related duties as assigned
The intern will be accountable for presenting learning and performance improvements by the conclusion of the program
Qualification
Required
Rising Junior or Senior College / University enrolled or recently graduated high performing Plastics Engineering Students
Experience with polymer processing is desirable
Statistical & Tolerance Analysis
Basic computer, data retrieval and data analysis skills
Attention to detail, willingness to learn and contribute, project management, results oriented
Compliance with all Quality System and safety requirements
