Responsibilities

Develop enterprise wide and initiative specific strategic plans
Design and implement cost take-out programs across core insurance functions, including claims, underwriting, policy administration, and MGA oversight
Conduct operational diagnostics and benchmarking (e.g., loss adjustment expense, underwriting productivity, commission structures)
Lead transformation initiatives such as target operating models, core system modernization, automation of claims and underwriting workflows, and shared services optimization
Evaluate MGA performance and cost structures, including delegated authority compliance, commission models, and technology enablement
Partner with client leadership to align cost initiatives with strategic goals such as growth, compliance, and customer experience
Develop proprietary benchmarks and frameworks for insurance operational excellence, including MGA-specific metrics
Contribute to business development and thought leadership on cost transformation in insurance

Required

Minimum of five years external consulting experience in a client-facing strategy discipline at a Big 4 firm, major strategy firm, or a boutique strategy firm, with a focus on private equity due diligence, operational due diligence, and performance improvement; additional relevant work experience, ideally within M&A Operations for a private equity or Fortune 100 firm is preferred
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Business Administration, Engineering, or other related field; Masters degree in Business Administration from an accredited college/university is preferred
Experience helping Financial Services firms conduct thorough analysis of potential acquisition targets, including assessing and executing operational due diligence and performance improvements; solid experience in project/program management, strategic cost management, operational improvement, customer profitability, discount optimization, organizational restructuring, change management and/or corporate turnarounds
Strong business acumen with deep analytical/problem solving skills and the ability to understand how business model decisions impact operating model design/execution across operations, technology, and organizational design
Ability and willingness to travel as necessary
