As a Workforce Development Intern, you will support the Workforce Development team in various initiatives, including research and implementation of training resources and programs to enhance staff capabilities in advancing Bible translation.

Responsibilities

Faithfully and regularly pray for the ongoing work of Bible translation and for people from around the world to experience transformation

Act as an organizational representative presenting the global ministry of Wycliffe and encouraging interested individuals, organizations and churches to participate in the work of Bible translation

Live out the conviction that “work flows through relationship” by passionately “loving God and loving people” through word and deed. Promote team and organizational culture standards, ensuring high customer service standards

Collaborate on departmental initiatives to provide a best-in-class experience for Wycliffe USA future and existing staff. Assist with cross-functional team responsibilities and tactical team/departmental initiatives

Work alongside the Director of Upskilling, Orientation and Learning Design and other team members to:

Assist in the research, development, coordination, and implementation of training initiatives

Assist with the content, creative, curricular approach, and/or technical design and delivery of contextualized, effective and measurable development experiences that equip staff to thrive and contribute to accelerated Bible translation progress

Assist with ongoing Workforce development initiatives

Assist with EnterMission, Wycliffe’s weekly staff meeting

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Upskilling, Orientation and Learning Design

Basic proficiency in tools such as Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Drive, Slides, etc.), Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)

Familiarity with email platforms, Slack and video conferencing software such as Zoom, and project management tools such as Teamwork

Ability to conduct internet research and quickly learn new software as needed

Familiarity with adult learning approaches, instructional design, or media production tools and software (e.g., Articulate 360, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, videography, or similar) is a significant advantage

Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a bachelor's program in instructional design, human resources, communication, education, educational psychology, organizational development, learning technologies, business administration, nonprofit management, ministry or a related field
