Responsibilities
Support projects and clients in the planning, design and construction of water/wastewater facilities and other similar industrial facilities, serving as Arcadis’ main point of contact with our clients for their electrical needs
Development of project management skills including support in managing budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment; for project/task scope schedule and budget
Electrical design and coordination of various projects with an emphasis on power distribution, lighting, communications, fire alarm systems, and control systems for new water/wastewater, and industrial projects
Design work will require a proficiency with CAD Programs (Autodesk Products, Bentley Products, etc.) specifically concerning as mentioned electrical systems for Engineering Design and Construction projects
Establishing design criteria, performing design calculations, developing one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans and specifications
Performing engineering services during construction, including reviewing equipment submittals, shop drawings and responding to contractor RFI’s (request for information)
Conducting field inspections, assisting projects in construction which includes identifying deviations from design, and monitoring safety compliance
Performing system analysis using ETAP, SKM Power Tools or other power systems analysis software
Some travel may be required to support project needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, a related discipline or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
Prior demonstrated consulting experience with water/wastewater and industrial facilities a must
Experience using AutoCAD MEP (2D and 3D), Revit, SKM Power Tools, short circuit calculations, overcurrent coordination, and/or arc flash analysis, and photometric study (Visual 3D or Dialux)
Solid working knowledge of the National Electrical Code requirements
Willingness and desire to mentor junior/staff electrical engineers
Excellent customer/client service skills
Excellent, clear and concise, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams effectively to complete projects on time and on budget
