Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise for emergent issues in support of or beyond the technical capabilities or resources of the stations, and to augment the nuclear station resources for special issues
Assist the sites in problem solving, as needed, and critically challenge assumptions and decisions that can affect nuclear safety
Coordinates with industry and assists in developing site long-range strategies in collaboration with nuclear station personnel for significant site problems
Leverages industry and site resources to resolve key technical issues and develop optimal fleet strategies to address issues, including establishing and communicating vision, mission, strategies, expectations, decisions, and transition plans

Required

B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or other closely related scientific discipline / physical science generally associated with power plant operations, or equivalent work experience (equivalent experience is defined as demonstrated success at the Engineer / Technical Specialist level.)
Engineer, I: 0 – 2 years experience in nuclear power design, operations, or equivalent, depending upon engineering level
Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operations
Outstanding communication and conflict management skills
Proficiency with current computer business applications

Preferred

Nuclear Industry Engineering Change Packages qualification (IP-ENG-001)
Previous experience in Operations IT, Design or Systems engineering teams implementing engineering modifications
Proficiency in computer codes that support Nuclear Design (e.g., ANSYS, ETAP, ME101, PipeFlo, MathCad, PDMS)
Professional Engineering license and/or an SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR
