MSIC - HPC Linux Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

Securely deploy and manage Linux workstations, servers, and HPC clusters
Administer local and remote filesystems efficiently
Automate tasks using shell scripting and Python
Manage security features, including firewalls and SELinux
Work with Ansible for system configuration and automation
Deploy and manage containerized environments using Docker or Podman
Maintain and optimize HPC clusters with tools such as Bright, Slurm, and xCAT
Configure and manage Linux networking and associated services
Ensure adherence to industry best practices, company and agency policies, and regulatory requirements
Create and maintain thorough documentation of plans, system configurations, and operational processes and procedures

Required

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent professional experience
Minimum of 5 to 12 years of related experience
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
Must be able to pass the CI polygraph within 180 days of hire
CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, or equivalent baseline security certification
Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility and maintain program accesses as required
Strong experience with Linux system administration
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
Knowledge of security best practices for Linux environments
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
U.S. Citizenship Required

Preferred

RHCSA, Linux+, or equivalent certification
Experience with automation tools (Ansible, shell scripting, Python, etc.)
Familiarity with container technologies like Docker, Podman, and Apptainer
Experience managing HPC clusters using Bright, Slurm, and/or xCAT
Strong networking experience in Linux environments
Cross-OS administration experience with Windows
Virtualization experience with VMWare or Nutanix
Active TS//SCI clearance with a current CI Scope Polygraph
