Inside Higher Ed is seeking candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Electrical and Computer Engineering at UMass Lowell. Qualification

Required

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline by the time of appointment
Evidence of potential for scholarly excellence and a sustainable, externally funded research agenda in all areas of microelectronics. Candidates with expertise in semiconductor materials and devices for power and RF electronics, advanced packaging and heterogeneous integration, integrated circuits and systems for power electronics, radiation-hardened and harsh-environment electronics, and/or AI-driven design and control for microelectronic materials and systems are especially encouraged to apply
Demonstrated commitment and potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate and graduate levels
The ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

Preferred

Postdoctoral or relevant industry experience in microelectronics, device design, or circuit integration
Experience or eligibility to work on DoD-funded or export-controlled research projects
Record of successful teaching experience at the college level
Evidence of a strong commitment to internal and external service
Statement of service activities and interests (optional)
