Quality Assurance Assistant 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM Shift
Western Smokehouse Partners is the leading manufacturing solution for premium, crafted protein snacks. They are seeking a fulltime Quality Assurance Assistant to maintain and check all quality procedures pertinent to the production process while ensuring accurate records for traceability and product quality purposes.
Food Production
Responsibilities
Enforcing policies and procedures that pertain to each area of production
Assist Quality Assurance Manager with Pre-Op checks and procedures
Oversee that quality checks are done to ensure product excellence
Verify all information that affects production including but not limited to checking for the correct ingredients, water activity, pH, correct rack tags, information on labels, information on boxes, information on caddies, machine documentation verification check sheets, etc
Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews
Preparing and completing action plans
Implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards
Identifying and resolving problems within the production process
Assist with conducting audits to verify effectiveness of food safety and quality systems
Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses and identifying critical control points (CCPs) and preventive measures for those CCPs
Responsible for aiding in establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures that happen
Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes, measuring production, documenting evidence, determining operational and performance qualification, and writing and updating quality assurance procedures
Maintains and improves product quality by helping to complete audits and investigating customer complaints
Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations
Maintenance, checks and oversight of the facility’s pest control program and equipment
Shall have formal Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) training, which will qualify to administer company training, conduct internal audits, and refresher training
Responsible for maintaining and storage of documents
Verifies information on labels to ensure quality production runs
Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and all Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
General knowledge of computers and calculators
General knowledge of completing records/paperwork
Willingness to learn computer traceability and inventory programs

Preferred
Food safety/ Ready to Eat (RTE) experience preferred
Quality Assurance (QA, FSQR, QC, etc.) experience preferred
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Training preferred
