Software Engineer I - Configuration Specialist

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain software applications and products
Write well-designed, testable, efficient code based on specifications; create comprehensive-not necessarily complex solutions to technical problems
Write maintainable, easily understandable code and configuration for use by developers of varying skill levels and support maintenance projects for the different systems we implement
Create technical documentation for reference and reporting; summarizing complex technical issues in a way that non-subject matter experts can understand
Troubleshoot, debug, enhance, and maintain existing code and configuration in various languages
Utilize tools such as Oxygen, IntelliJ, ChatGPT, and Gemini
Utilize popular frameworks such as Django and Spring
Perform business requirements analysis along with application design
Interact with internal staff and our customers to provide excellent training and technical support
Qualification
Required
0 - 2 years of professional software development experience
Experience using an object-oriented language (Python preferred)
Experience using an LLM model as part of productivity workflow
Comfortable and/or proficient with Python, XSLT, XML
Bachelor's degree in a technology field such as Computer Science or Information Technology
Experience or interest in learning an object-oriented language like Python or Java
Highly organized individual who gains a strong sense of accomplishment from completing tasks off their list
Fundamental understanding of IT, database, and software development concepts
Able to occasionally contribute after-hours when major technical issues arise
Currently reside in one of these states: FL, GA, IL, KS, KY, MO, NC, NJ, NY, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA
Able to confidently pass rigorous fingerprint-based state and federal background screenings, as required by the nationwide agencies we work with (mandatory)
Do not require sponsorship to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available for this position
