Financial Planning Analyst

Responsibilities
Consolidation & Reporting: Oversee the consolidation and reporting of variable profit performance by brand, with emphasis on net price drivers. Produce variance analyses versus budget, latest forecast, and prior year, ensuring alignment of deliverables to GMNA FP&A requirements
Planning Leadership: Lead the annual budget and LTP development for SSM Finance; coordinate deadlines, inputs, and outputs across multiple teams. Provide trend analyses to support the development of U.S. Gross Revenue and Retail Incentives, including clear variance explanations
Performance Analysis: Proactively analyze business results (vs. forecast, budget, and prior year) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that enhance profitability and inform decision‑making
Analytical Rigor: Apply advanced financial analysis tools (e.g., financial models, business cases, run‑rate and trend analysis, data analytics) to influence current and future performance
Executive Reporting: Prepare succinct, insight‑driven reporting packages for monthly senior leadership reviews; anticipate and address logical follow‑up questions
Autonomous Execution: Operate effectively under ambiguity and compressed timelines, maintaining accuracy and judgment in deliverables
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial performance and analytical conclusions clearly to senior finance leadership and key business partners; proactively address anticipated questions
Continuous Development: Proactively pursue professional growth opportunities (e.g., new skills, training, networking, feedback) to expand capability and impact
Qualification
Required
Experience in monthly forecast activities
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related areas
High proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong modeling and financial valuation skills
Familiarity with accounting principles
Proven ability to act in an advisory capacity and to anticipate and resolve business issues
Ability to solve complex problems as part of a cross-functional team
Preferred
Highly motivated, engaged, and organized self‑starter with strong analytical and technical proficiency
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, maintain accuracy, and bring initiative and creativity to complex problems
Effective collaborator with the capacity to build relationships across GMNA FP&A, Pricing, and broader Finance organizations
