Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors with a welcoming demeanor :)
Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar (Athena Health EMR)
Assist with patient intake, including obtaining medical history and insurance information
Assist chiropractor and therapy techs with patient care, including preparing treatment rooms
Provide support to patients during their visit, answering questions and addressing concerns
Maintain patient records accurately and confidentially, HIPAA regulations
Process patient payments and handle billing inquiries
Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
Manage inventory of supplies and equipment
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service
Manage incoming referrals and correspondence with other medical providers offices, billing department and patients
Perform administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the office
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in using computers and office software
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures is a plus
Experience in a medical office setting or similar role is preferred
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Cleaning of clinic and equipment
Memorizing scripts for procedural consistency required
Excellent communication skills both in person and on the phone
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Previous experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role preferred
Physical therapy student
Chiropractic student
Athletic trainer
Personal trainer
Kinesiology student/graduate
Experience utilizing Athena
Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
