Senior Staff Accountant
Technica USA is seeking a responsible, hard-working, and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their growing Finance team. This role plays a key part in supporting the Assistant Controller with the monthly close process, managing account reconciliations, and serving as the team’s technical accounting expert.
Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and timeliness
Perform full-cycle month-end close, including account reconciliations and variance analysis
Ensure financial reporting is complete, accurate, and aligned with GAAP
Support daily AP/AR operations, including invoice review, payment processing, and cash application
Review customer and vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with internal controls
Assist with AR collections, sales agent commissions, and cash management activities
Uphold internal policies, procedures, and control standards
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory and fixed asset records
Assist with periodic physical inventory counts and related reconciliations
Support internal and external audits, including quarterly reviews
Compile financial documentation, reconcile accounts, and ensure adherence to GAAP and company policies
Assist in preparing financial statements, management reports, and ad‑hoc analyses
Provide insights and support for operational and strategic decision-making
Review and maintain the accuracy of sales tax filings and other regulatory reports
Support compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements
Perform a variety of administrative and accounting tasks as needed
Adapt to evolving team needs, supporting both routine and complex financial matters
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals
Qualification
Required
CPA required
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and critical thinking and analysis
Experience working alone or without supervision
