Responsibilities

Aggregate sector/market news and trade flows through communication with sell-side traders in order to update Trade Floor

Analyzing and developing trade ideas in fixed income products

Communication with sell-side traders/economist/strategist in order understand current market dynamics

Support Senior Portfolio Managers in terms of managing client accounts

Create tools in order to streamline processes and improve efficiency

Required

Pursuing an undergraduate degree

Must be able to begin full time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2027 – August 2027

Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2026 semester (August 2026 – December 2026)

Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university

Are business proficient in English

Show a strong interest in the financial markets, macroeconomics, investments, finance

Have strong work ethic and integrity; you should be a team player that is proactive and self-motivated

Have the ability to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously

Are comfortable with handling ambiguity

Possess outstanding analytical and mathematical skills

Have proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, SQL, and/or VBA
