Network Analyst, Sr - IS - Network Support

Responsibilities

Resolves complex technical issues involving network equipment and the software which operates it, high availability applications, clustered hosts, in a multiple protocol, mixed media environment (copper and fiber-optic cabling plants)
Participates in resolution of complex technical issues involving multiple applications, systems and technical teams following Departmental “Crisis Management” guidelines
Perform advanced troubleshooting, packet capture analysis, and root cause analysis across routing, switching, wireless technologies
Support network lifecycle activities including technology evaluation, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning
Monitor network performance and capacity, identify trends, and recommend proactive improvements
Manage vendor relationships and carrier engagements, including troubleshooting, and escalations
Ensure network designs and operations align with security, compliance, and business continuity requirements
Develop and maintain network architecture standards, diagrams, configurations, and operational documentation
Maintains network equipment and hot spare device inventory
Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as required
Install and configure network hardware
Acknowledge and meet the physical requirements of the role, including the ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs

Required

H.S. Diploma or GED
7 years' experience in information systems
A bachelor's degree will substitute four (4) years of work experience
A master's degree will substitute for two (2) years of work experience

Preferred

Current vendor/industry certifications are a plus
