This role involves supporting the operations of Electronic Health Information Management Systems, generating reports, performing data reconciliation, and providing technical support to users. The position also includes training authorized users and ensuring data integrity in patient records.

Responsibilities
Generate reports to perform reconciliation and auditing activities
Perform complex merging, unmerging, and/or separating overlay of intermingled and/or duplicate patient records
Perform chart correction and data integrity event forms
Train authorized users as an EMR Superuser
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to physicians and other departments in the hospital
Qualification
Required
Two years of experience in a hospital, healthcare, or medical office setting required
Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency required
Working knowledge of personal computers, keyboarding skills, interfaces, SQL, HL7
In depth knowledge of medical record content, documentation requirements and state and federal regulatory requirements
Associates Degree in HIM or Health Information Technology and/or Analytics or its equivalent progress toward a baccalaureate degree required
Approved Medical Terminology required
Preferred
Scanning or ROI experience strongly preferred
Experience working in EPIC or other electronic health record management software preferred
Certification from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) strongly preferred
AHIMA certification in Healthcare Privacy (CHP), Healthcare Security (CHS), or Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS) or other credential from areas of Health Analytics, Health Data Integrity and Business Intelligence strongly preferred
