Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of complex interdisciplinary technological systems including mechanical, electrical, software and medical physics
Design small and large electromechanical subsystems for our innovative radiation therapy device
Participate in all phases of the product development life cycle
Provide creative solutions to unstructured product design issues from both factory and field
Support Mevion's global installation and service organization at clinical sites
Drive continuous process improvement in all aspects of manufacturing, test and commissioning
Perform data analysis to identify trends and insights for increased system efficiency
Responsible for creating design documentation including engineering drawings, work instructions, verification and validation protocols, etc
Responsible for managing Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
Collaborate with outside consultants, vendors, and the medical community
Participate in boot camps, team meetings, and cross-functional training
Support knowledge-sharing initiatives and train future cohorts as needed
Complete additional duties as assigned by management

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Nuclear engineering or related field
Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English is required
Skilled with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD design software
Strong sense of responsibility and execution
Excellent written and verbal communication
Self-motivated, proactive and fast learner
Able to execute tasks independently
Collaborate effectively in a global organization
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Able to work in an office, lab or factory environment safely
Must be able to work in high magnetic fields

Preferred

Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Nuclear engineering or related field
Candidates with a strong understanding of both U.S. and Chinese cultures are preferred
A background that includes education or experience in both regions is a plus
Experience with electrical, mechanical or thermal finite element analysis
Experience with technologies related to medical devices such as motion control, robotics, high vacuum systems, cryogenics, and superconducting magnets is highly preferred
Experience with medical device manufacturing or related regulated industry a bonus
