Engines Service Engineer, Level 4-5
Pacific Power Group is seeking highly experienced Service Engineers, Engines (Levels 4–5) to serve as senior technical leaders performing maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities. The role involves delivering expert-level diagnostics, leading teams, and providing technical consultation across systems and controls.

Responsibilities
Perform and lead complex MRO activities on company-supported engines, systems, and controls
Deliver expert to master-level fault finding at electrical and mechanical levels
Read, interpret, and develop complex electrical and hydraulic schematics and control system diagrams
Install and commission standard, small, and large systems, including all types of actuation
Provide high-level technical consultation on-site and in-house with minimal to no supervision
Troubleshoot and fault find on programmable controls and HMIs at an advanced level
Support system-level testing independently; provide planning and organizational leadership for execution
Assist applications engineering with testing, documentation updates, and drawings
Train and mentor junior and field service engineers across all aspects of site work
Lead and direct the work of others; provide on-site and in-house supervision as required
Share expertise to elevate team capability, safety, and quality
Deliver very high to master-level Technical Assistance Group (TAG) and sales support
Identify and recommend the correct products and solutions aligned to customer processes
Maintain professional, trusted relationships with customers and internal partners
Qualification
Required
Deep, hands-on expertise across field concepts, practices, procedures, and controls
Exceptional analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
Proven judgment and autonomy to plan, execute, and lead complex work
Strong leadership presence with the ability to direct teams and influence outcomes
6–8 years of relevant experience plus a recognized electrical or mechanical certificate (Trade School or Military) for Level 4
Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree with 4–6 years of relevant experience for Level 4
8–10 years of relevant experience plus a recognized electrical or mechanical certificate (Trade School or Military) for Level 5
Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree with 6–8 years of relevant experience for Level 5
Lift up to 50 lbs
Stand for extended periods; work comfortably while kneeling, stooping, and in confined spaces
Twist, turn, and perform physically demanding tasks as required
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
