Philanthropy Advisor, Transformational Giving
The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews is an organization focused on fostering relationships between Jews and Christians. They are seeking a Philanthropy Advisor for their Transformational Giving team, responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with major donors to enhance fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities
Implement a comprehensive stewardship plan that proactively stewards assigned caseload
Establish clear action plans, goals, and priorities for caseloads to achieve annual financial goals
Work closely with the Philanthropy team to formulate strategy for prospect identification, evaluation, cultivation and solicitation, and moves management
Offer new and innovative ideas to strengthen the donor journey while maintaining proven strategies to engage donors in a meaningful transformational experience
Establish, cultivate, and enhance donor relationships with caseloads, including creating and managing communication with donors through email, letter, and telephone correspondence, ensuring consistency with messaging
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the donors in the assigned caseload, including contribution details, important life events, and other relevant information and follow-up accordingly
Manage all aspects of donor visits from research, planning and travel arrangements to wrap-up; includes targeting key donors in particular areas
Input all donor activity into donor management software. Complete related administrative work as necessary
Qualification
Required
Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience in fundraising and cultivating major donors or in sales and customer relations
Previous development and major gift experience
Proven ability to build relationships with a wide range of donors and to understand the needs and passions of donors
Proven fundraising track record in major gifts and or planned giving
Strong working knowledge of the US philanthropic landscape, prospect research methodology, best practices and evolving trends in philanthropy
Experience with moves management strategy and the capability to design and execute donor-centric engagement activities
Basic to intermediate knowledge of estate planning and planned gifts
Proven skills in sales execution, customer relations, or business management
Ability to negotiate and close solicitations
Experience working with Microsoft Office 365 products
Experience using customer relationship management database
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Ability to develop authentic relationships with high wealth prospects and individuals with diverse backgrounds
Strong presentation skills; exceptional negotiating skills and compassionate listening skills
Possesses sensitivity to varied cultures and religions, with especially strong knowledge of the Jewish and Christian communities, and the ability to bridge cultural divides
Ability to empathize with the strongly held religious and/or political belief systems of both
Ability to travel for day and overnight trips, domestically and some internationally
