Responsibilities
Build and maintain actuarial models used for forecasting and tracking performance risks associated with value-based arrangements
Extract, analyze, and aggregate revenue/claim data from multiple sources and interpret quantitative data to review and guide the strategy of value-based arrangements
Perform data mining and analysis that impacts foundational pricing and risk assumptions
Extract and compile payer specific utilization data to support value-based care negotiations
Assist in the preparation of annual revenue and claim forecasts and summary exhibits to determine value of the contracts
Communicate the results of your work in a meaningful way to internal stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance or related field
Must be on the Actuarial exam track, having passed 1 or more Actuarial exams
2+ years of experience working in a corporate environment including experience collecting, analyzing and summarizing qualitative/quantitative data
Proven expertise working with formulas, calculations, charts, graphs in MS Excel
Preferred
Must be on the Actuarial exam track, having passed 2 or more Actuarial exams
1+ years of experience building Actuarial models in SQL (Structured Query Language), SAS (Statistical Analysis System) and/or VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)
Experienced with any of the following: Underwriting, Government Programs, Medicare Advantage (MA) products, CMS ACO/Alternative Payment Models, and/or VBC modeling
Experience working in finance or the health care industry
Proven ability to self-motivate, quickly learn new business concepts and take initiatives
