Responsibilities
Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders. Provide compassionate and professional support throughout the estate administration process
Case Management: Review and manage your calendar, task list in the firm's case management software, and email inbox daily to create and implement action plans that move client matters forward efficiently
Document Preparation: Prepare, review, and file all necessary probate and trust administration documents. Ensure accuracy and compliance with North Carolina probate laws
Coordination with Team Members: Collaborate with other legal team members to gather necessary information and documentation for each case. Delegate tasks and follow up to ensure timely completion
Attorney Support: Regularly review case statuses and plans with attorneys. Provide updates and discuss strategies to address any issues or delays
Client Updates: Keep executors, trustees, and beneficiaries informed about the status of their estate administration matters. Provide clear and timely communication to manage expectations and reduce anxiety
Operational Efficiency: Participate in team meetings to discuss client matters and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures
Filing and Tracking: Meticulously produce and track filings for each estate and trust administration matter. Maintain organized records and ensure all deadlines are met
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to support overall firm goals and client objectives. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment
Qualification
Required
At least two years of North Carolina estate administration experience
Keen eye for detail
Effective organization skills
Ability to approach clients with kindness and empathy
Adept at explaining complex concepts in understandable terms
Excel in collaborative team environments
