The City of Pismo Beach is seeking a part-time Parking Enforcement Officer to support safe and efficient parking operations in their beachside community. This role involves monitoring parking meters, enforcing regulations, and providing customer service while working independently and professionally.

Responsibilities

Responds tactfully to questions and comments from the general public

Provides information to the general public on laws, regulations, and ordinances affecting parking; provides general assistance to all with emphasis on customer service

Monitors parking spaces used/blocked by construction projects

Implements goals, objectives, ordinances, regulations, policies, and priorities for parking enforcement programs

Personally performs parking enforcement duties, including writing and issuing notices of violations

Coordinates with the Parking Division Supervisor regarding any changes, non-operational meters, damaged meters, etc

Provides administrative support to the Parking Supervisor as needed

Receives, investigates, and responds to problems and complaints in a professional manner; identifies and reports findings and takes necessary corrective action

Provides customer service informing citizens of parking regulations and assisting citizens with completing transactions for paid parking

Acts as a liaison between the public and City

Performs other duties as assigned
