Responsibilities
Participate in training - in-person or virtual, for learning how to effectively use a publisher's digital platform
Develop and curate digital resources aligned to adopted curriculum and standards for educators and students
Create clear instructional guides and tutorials for integrating digital textbooks into Canvas and other LMS platforms (how-to documentation and videos)
Vet publisher-provided digital content for instructional quality, accessibility, and alignment with district goals and curriculum
Offer after-school office hours to provide technical support to educators regarding digital textbook platforms
Troubleshoot issues related to textbook access, integrations, and account setup
Liaise with publishers and vendors to resolve technical issues or clarify platform features
Prepare and deliver training sessions and workshops (in-person or virtual) for educators on setting up and using digital textbooks within Canvas and Clever
Maintain up-to-date documentation and FAQs for textbook setup and troubleshooting processes for educators and students
Support district instructional technology initiatives through collaboration and communication with departments
Serve as the point of contact for school sites regarding digital curriculum tools and troubleshooting
Track, document, and respond to support requests in a timely and effective manner
Communicate updates, outages, or changes to digital textbook platforms to staff and administration
Gather and analyze usage data to inform training needs and identify platform issues or underutilization
Contribute to the evaluation of platform effectiveness and teacher/student satisfaction through surveys and feedback
Qualification
Required
Possess a valid CA California Teaching Credential
Must be assigned to teach a course using the specific digital platform (e.g., Savvas, McGraw-Hill, HMH, TCI, etc.) in the 2025-2026 school year
Know how to use Screencastify to create how-to videos
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to create user-friendly instructional materials and support guides
Ability to work after school hours to accommodate training or support needs, in-person and via Google Meet. High demand time is at the beginning of each semester
Preferred
Proficiency in using and troubleshooting digital instructional tools and platforms
Familiarity with commonly used digital textbook platforms
