Responsibilities

Assessing system vulnerabilities

Identifying and mitigating security risks

Ensuring appropriate controls are in place to safeguard digital assets and critical infrastructure

Responding to security incidents, breaches, and malware threats to maintain a secure operating environment

Operating security monitoring and scanning tools

Collecting and maintaining security artifacts

Updating compliance records in CSAM

Assisting with Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) updates and retesting of evidence

Ensuring accurate documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Contributing to maintaining a strong security posture in alignment with federal standards such as STIGs, FISMA, and other agency requirements

Required

Experience in conducting security assessments for High and Moderate systems under the Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Ability to plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor security measures to protect networks, systems, and information assets

Experience in assessing system vulnerabilities and identifying and mitigating security risks

Knowledge of appropriate controls to safeguard digital assets and critical infrastructure

Experience in responding to security incidents, breaches, and malware threats

Proficiency in operating security monitoring and scanning tools

Ability to collect and maintain security artifacts

Experience in updating compliance records in CSAM

Ability to assist with Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) updates and retesting of evidence

Strong documentation skills for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Knowledge of federal standards such as STIGs, FISMA, and other agency requirements
