Responsibilities

Supporting Project Managers and field leaders by managing RFIs, submittals, and technical documentation
Reviewing drawings, one-line diagrams, and specifications to identify clashes, constructability issues, or missing information
Coordinating with design teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical questions in a timely manner
Assisting with quantity takeoffs, material tracking, and status updates for critical equipment and systems
Supporting planning and sequencing efforts by aligning engineering information with field execution needs
Helping maintain as-built documentation, change records, and updated drawing sets
Participating in or supporting inspections, QA/QC checks, punch list activities, and commissioning/startup efforts
For field engineer roles: spending significant time on site, verifying installation against design intent and capturing field conditions
For senior-level roles: acting as a technical resource across multiple projects, mentoring junior project engineers/field engineers, and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering workflows

Required

Degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, civil, or related) or equivalent technical experience in the field
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Exposure to construction, industrial, or power projects, ideally with electrical or multi-discipline components
Experience supporting a Project Manager, Superintendent, or similar role in a construction/industrial environment
Hands-on involvement with RFIs, submittals, change documentation, or design coordination
Comfort working between the office and the field, translating technical information into practical steps
Understanding of how work is installed and sequenced in the field
Familiarity with common construction means and methods in your discipline
Willingness to be on job sites regularly and collaborate closely with craft and supervision
Detail-oriented with strong organizational habits
Ability to manage multiple technical tasks and follow through to closure
Comfortable asking questions and surfacing issues early rather than letting them fester
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively with engineers, PMs, and field staff

Preferred

Entry-level PE/Field Engineer: 0–3+ years of relevant experience; recent grads with internships or co-ops in construction/industry are encouraged to apply
Project Engineer: 3–7+ years supporting projects with increasing responsibility
Senior Project Engineer/Constructability Coordinator: 7+ years of technical project support with strong field and coordination experience
