Responsibilities

Being a faculty team member while students provide treatment to patients

Reviewing patient medical and dental histories

Administering local anesthesia as needed

Evaluating student performance using established clinic evaluation rubrics

Managing medical emergencies in the clinic

Attending semester training, calibration, and methodology workshops (approximately 3-6 hours/semester)

Identifying the need for patient medical consultations and follow consultation processes

Performing oral examinations

Evaluating and assisting students with alginate impressions, dental sealants, and whitening

Other duties related to patient treatment
