Responsibilities
Evaluate current EHR processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or areas for improvement
Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, and administrative personnel to align EHR workflow changes with clinical needs
Monitor EHR adoption and adjust processes based on feedback and performance metrics
Facilitate training with external support team, learn applications, tools, and processes that assist clinicians with the management of data in patient care and the provision of health care
Assist with application implementation and system customization
Provide technical support and report application errors in collaboration with IT staff
Supports collection and reporting of quality data and information
Recommends innovative ideas, processes, and/or procedures for enhancements, additions, and modifications to improve existing systems
Work with other members of the team to implement solutions to system related problems to minimize operational impact
Qualification
Required
Three to five (3-5) years experience in healthcare required
Ability to compile, categorize, or verify information/data
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations
Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, and maintain a positive attitude
Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information
Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner
Ability to communicate effectively, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner
Preferred
Understanding of medical terminology and outpatient clinical workflows
CMA
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
Knowledge of NextGen program software
