Responsibilities

Develops, maintains, and grows new and existing client relationships, focusing on large volume hospitality, multifamily and commercial projects

Generates and follows up on sale leads while continually looking for new business opportunities with our largest commercial installers, developers, and general contractors

Participates in industry functions such as home shows and professional association meetings to network, build relationships, and generate leads

Maintains and stays up to date on product knowledge, availability, and technical aspects product including installation

Understands the customer's business, provides solutions that fit, and uses negotiation techniques to close the sale

Required

High school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework complete

2+ years of Commercial Sales or at least 3+ years of experience working in the commercial construction industry with a project management role or higher

Skills to balance and succeed over the lifecycle of projects dealing with every customer type successfully

Solid business acumen to understand customers goals

Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to close the sales

Solid organizational and planning skills

Intermediate computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, metric conversions, area calculations, and apply concepts of basic algebra

Excellent verbal/written communication skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from Customers or the public

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Ability to speak effectively before large groups of Customers or Employees of the organization
