PROGRAM FINANCE MANAGER

Responsibilities

Maintaining/reconciling the program's General Ledger
Ensuring expenses adhere to budget and accuracy and timeliness of financial data
Compiling and submitting monthly claims
Reviewing and processing purchase requisitions and invoicing
Collecting and tracking receipt of funding and receivables
Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and billings to sponsors
Participating in account close-out as well as auditing inquiries and procedures
Monitoring the allowable and appropriate recording of expenses to sponsored projects and the general ledger
Ensuring compliance with generally acceptable accounting principles (GAAP) and sponsor reporting requirements
Managing grants from New York City's Department of Social Services, Human Resources Administration, and Administration of Children's Services if applicable

Required

Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting required
7 years of experience in Finance/Grants/Accounting required
Knowledge GAAP and Grant Accounting

Strong Excel Skills, Strata, HCM and INFOR
Time management and ability to multi-task

Preferred

Masters Degree in Finance/Accounting preferred
