Responsibilities
Lead independent research program(s) in the broad area of Pathology
Focus on areas of interest to the Einstein Strategic Plan: Immunology, Cancer relevant areas, and Infectious Disease
Grow and sustain research programs
Incorporate clinical activity at Montefiore for those with an MD or MD/PhD
Qualification
Required
Doctoral degree (e.g. MD, PhD, DVM, etc.) in a relevant scientific discipline
Evidence of an ability to obtain independent funding
Ability to grow and sustain a research program
Preferred
Focus on areas of interest to the Einstein Strategic Plan: (1) Immunology including the application of immunotherapy approaches to the therapy of various diseases; (2) Cancer relevant areas including (but not limited to): cancer biology, immunology of cancer and cancer treatment, the role of microbiomes in the pathogenesis or maintenance of cancer, and imaging mass spectroscopy in cancer diagnosis; and (3) Infectious Disease including emerging infectious diseases, parasitology, and immune pathogenesis of infections
