Georgia Southern University is a dynamic institution with three campuses serving Southeast Georgia. They are seeking part-time faculty to provide laboratory instruction in various Radiological Sciences disciplines for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Responsibilities

Assist faculty who are teaching laboratory courses in cardiovascular interventional science, diagnostic medical sonography, patient care, radiation therapy, and radiography
Set up the laboratory
Demonstrate skills
Ensure laboratory safety
Evaluate students under the direction of a supervising faculty member

Qualification

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive SpecialistAmerican Registry for Diagnostic Medical SonographyAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists RT(T)American Registry of Radiologic Technologists RT(R)Bachelor's Degree in Health ScienceClinical experienceHuman relations skillsProficiency with computersEffective communicationOrganizational skills

Required

Earned Bachelor's Degree in Health Science, Radiologic Science, or one of the disciplines within Radiologic Science or demonstrated expertise as a clinical application specialist within the discipline and five years of clinical experience
Licensure, Certification and Registration in the appropriate field as listed below: For Cardiovascular Interventional Science, must have active Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential; For Diagnostic Medical Sonography, must have active American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) credential; For Radiation Therapy must have active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists RT(T) credential; For Radiography must have active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists RT(R) credential; For Patient Care, must hold national credential as a radiographer, radiation therapist, diagnostic medical sonographer, or nuclear medicine technologist
Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives
Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development
Consistently exhibit engaging customer service
Ability to support various constituencies served by the University
Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position
Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University's mission for student success
Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills

Preferred

Master's Degree
At least one year teaching in an academic setting
