Mid-level Data Analyst
Blu Omega is looking for a Mid-level Data Analyst to join a mission-driven team supporting the vital cybersecurity operations at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). In this role, you will design and implement analytical models to interpret complex datasets, contributing to the enhancement of cybersecurity capabilities.
Responsibilities
Develop and refine complex analytical models to identify cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities
Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights supporting enterprise cybersecurity operations
Interpret data trends and patterns to enhance incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to translate data findings into strategic recommendations
Support continuous improvement of data analysis processes and tools to meet federal cybersecurity standards and compliance requirements
Qualification
Required
3 years of proven experience designing and implementing analytical models in a cybersecurity or data analysis environment
Associates Degree
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or similar
Experience working with large datasets and managing data from multiple sources
Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Experience with federal cybersecurity standards such as FISMA, HHS, or DHS CISA guidelines
Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and platforms such as SIEM, intrusion detection systems, or threat intelligence platforms
Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or related cybersecurity or data analysis credentials
Prior experience in a federal or government cybersecurity operational environment
