Staff Accountant/Financial Analyst
firstPRO, Inc is a growing, dynamic firm seeking a motivated early-career professional for the role of Staff Accountant/Financial Analyst. This position offers hands-on experience in core accounting functions with a clear growth path into Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and support an efficient month-end close process
Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing reviews, and cash management activities
Support the preparation of internal financial statements and management reporting
Support KPI tracking, dashboard maintenance, and recurring management reports
Assist in building forecasting models and performing financial analyses as experience grows
Analyze trends in revenue, expenses, and operational metrics to enhance financial visibility and insights
Contribute to data-driven decision-making as automation and team growth shift focus toward FP&A initiatives
Work across NetSuite, Ramp, Numeric, Paylocity, Power BI, and internal tools to support accurate financial operations
Troubleshoot data issues, perform data quality checks, and help maintain system configurations and integrations
Support automation efforts and workflow improvements across invoicing, close, reporting, and compliance
Build and maintain documentation, SOPs, and process maps to help standardize and scale financial processes
Partner with Revenue Operations, HR, and Operations to gather and validate data for accounting and reporting
Provide operational support such as payroll or onboarding data checks to ensure accurate financial and HR data flows
Assist with ad hoc analyses and cross-functional projects typical of a lean, high-growth organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
1–2 years of accounting experience or strong internship experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial systems is a plus
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn in a fast-growing environment
