Senior LevelCone Health is seeking a Faculty member for Internal Medicine at Moses Cone Hospital. This role involves teaching, mentoring, and providing clinical supervision to medical students and residents, along with participating in research and administrative duties.

Responsibilities
Teaching and Education Provision of educational conferences for residents, faculty, students and teams to include Grand Rounds, Journal Clubs, Noon Conferences, Medical Student Lectures, Clinical Improvement Conferences, Board Review sessions and others as assigned
Mentoring of medical students, APP students and residents
Provide clinical supervision to students and residents on rotations as assigned
Provide patient care to patients in various clinical areas as assigned
Encourage and support residents in scholarly activities including abstract submission, poster presentation, oral presentation and case report publication
Establish and maintain an environment of inquiry and scholarship with an active research component
Participate in required or assigned committee work including THN, CHMG, Graduate Medical Education, Medical Staff or others
Developing, in collaboration with leadership, new rotation or education experiences for students and residents
Work as a part of the larger team to improve access, reduce cost, improve quality and promote efficiency and better health outcomes
Engagement in community outreach and to attend professional events to assist with program development and building professional relationships
Attention to timely and complete documentation, patient satisfaction and referring physician satisfaction are needed by each faculty member
Participate in AHEC projects as requested that meet the mission of the NC AHEC Program
Qualification
Required
MD or DO
Active NC Medical License
Board certification in specialty
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Valid Driver's License | If driving Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management
Preferred
Experience in teaching or perception medical residents or medical students
