Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand technical requirements and system specifications

Develop, implement, and maintain Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS)

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MMIS

Ensure systems are compliant with federal and state regulatory requirements

Perform system testing and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability

Provide technical support and training to end-users

Assist in the development of system documentation, including user manuals and training materials

Participate in regular system audits and generate reports as required

Required

5 + years of related experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Proven experience in supporting Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS)

Knowledge of federal and state Medicaid regulations

Proficiency in database management and software development

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Preferred

Advanced degree or certification in a related field

Experience with healthcare data interchange standards (e.g., HL7, HIPAA)

Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services

Previous experience in a healthcare or government services environment at the state and local level

Prior experience with software engineering and maintenance of legacy systems (Cobol, Java, ColdFusion, .net)

Prior experience with systems modernization, data warehousing, data lakes and/or cloud migrations
