HNTB is seeking a Deputy Program Manager – Communications to lead strategic outreach and program messaging for impactful infrastructure initiatives. This role involves managing a communications team and developing outreach plans to engage communities with transformative projects.

Responsibilities

Manages overall communications efforts for the PMO team, including overseeing a staff

Develops strategic communications and public outreach plans for the overall program, as well as various individual projects and special initiatives

Develops messaging, speeches, presentations and other tools to communicate program information to various internal and external audiences

Coordinates and manages meetings, special events and other activities

Develops and oversees production of client projects and programs reports and other materials

Supports Client personnel, other consultants and contractors through effective communication regarding projects and programs

Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science or related field

10 years Communications, Public Affairs or Government Relations experience

Preferred

Master's degree or professional certifications (APR, PMP, IABC) a plus

10+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in supervisory or leadership roles

Experience in transportation infrastructure environment

Experience in program management, with proven ability to align communications across complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives

Experience managing employees

Familiarity with alternative delivery methods (design-build, CM/GC, progressive design-build) and how communications strategies adapt to these frameworks
