IT Support Engineer
HTC Global Services is a company dedicated to driving innovation and success through inclusion and diversity. They are seeking an IT Support Engineer to maintain and support their design organization’s render farms, manage software applications, and provide day-to-day technical support while collaborating with global teams.

Responsibilities
Maintain the Design Organization’s group of render farms, interfacing with key partners the problem solve and conduct R&D into future needs
Monitor Design specific render farms and support with software authoring, licensing, enhancements, and repairs
Work with render farm customers to assess current and future state of their needs
Develop and maintain relationships with HPC (High Computing Center) partners
Help with problem solving: human error, software, hardware
Conduct R&D into future needs for Design
Track Design software application metrics for analysis and strategic planning. Manage licensing, documentation, planning, budget, funding, and acquisition
Maintain documentation in Excel, SharePoint, & Webpages
Software acquisition, purchases, installs, documentation, and licenses
Create and maintain install documents
Design software tracking
Coordinate with CLS (Central License Server) team to upgrade licenses on yearly basis
Collaborate with STAR (Software, Tracking, Acquisition, and Replication) group for Design software maintenance, licensing, strategic planning, budget, and funding
Evaluate and improve deployment process for core Design applications. Assist in packaging, testing, certification, distribution and problem solving. Work with global teams to ensure regional deployments consistently improve
Constantly evaluate and improve deployment process for core apps such as Alias, VRED, Maya
Logging tickets in IT connect
Working with application packaging team
UA (User Acceptance) testing
Work with LOB (Line of Business) for certification
Assist with STS (Server to Server) & STC (Server to Client) distribution
Collaborate with Design IT to align global efforts (UK, Germany, Australia, China, FSAO)
Work with global teams
Assist daily in resolving issues related to licensing, software, and render farms. Maintain knowledge base and collaborate with strategic partners to support Design initiatives
Emails-resolve daily issues
Assist help desk with issues related to licensing/software/render farms
Maintain KBA (Knowledge Base Articles) and generate technical articles
Collaborate with manufacturing team on related Autodesk technologies (packaging issues, deployment strategies, efficiencies etc.)
Maintain relationships with key professional networks within client site & strategic vendors
Assess future hardware needs and test various Design configurations
Collaborate with client’s Global Architecture on Design needs
Qualification
Required

Fluent in HTML, java script, pearl, & python
Intimate understanding of Dell/Windows/Mac/Linux products, operating systems, & software
General understanding of networking protocols and processes
Current with latest IT support hardware, software, and emerging technologies
Aptitude to embrace IT policies & standards
Skilled in explaining technical complexities to those without a technical background
Ability to work in a fluid environment while resolving issues quickly and professionally
Knowledge of render farm support and server updates + software installations helpful
Excellent verbal and written communication
