Pharmacy Technician - Customer Service

Responsibilities
Answering phone calls from facilities in a timely manner while being professional and courteous
Creating telephone order for refills, new orders, and/or backup and triaging into the appropriate queues for Order Entry staff to complete
Refill orders in pharmacy computer system if facility calls and request (if not complicated)
Follow up with customers as needed (if you told a customer you would return their phone call, call them back in a timely manner)
Answering facility questions or referring them to the proper resource for answer
Take Credit Card information over the phone for payments
Work with Medical Records to update on resident information, or anything else that is changed. Make telephone orders for medical records and send to appropriate queues for medical records
Take orders from Doctor’s offices and triaging to appropriate queues
Check assigned facility faxes daily; any issues, contact Order Entry
Link delivery sheets into Docutrack
Check original prescriptions sent in tote or by mail, scan into Docutrack and link. If they haven’t been completed leave note for OE to address
Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed
Qualification
Required
Active Oregon State Pharmacy Technician License
High School Diploma or GED, required
2+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience)
Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
Great attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate
Work Ethic/Integrity – must possess intrinsic drive to excel coupled with values in line with company philosophy
Strategy and Planning – ability to think ahead, plan and manage time efficiently
Problem Solving – ability to analyze causes and solve problems at both a strategic and functional level
Team Oriented – ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all team members
Preferred
National Certification preferred (PTCB)
Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred
