Gauge Maintenance Technician
The N.C. Department of Information Technology is dedicated to public safety and is seeking a Gauge Maintenance Technician. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform maintenance and inspections of gauges and weather sensors, as well as document field activity and collaborate with NCDOT on gauge interoperability.

Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and inspections of gauges and weather sensors
Repair damaged equipment
Document in reports the results of all field activity in appropriate software
Work with NCDOT to identify new locations for gauges/sensors
Provide a report to NCDOT with information needed for gauge interoperability with geospatial systems
Conduct post-storm site visits
Perform high water data collection
Assist survey crew
Establish benchmarks at gauge locations
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in an applicable area of Engineering Technology, Survey Technology or a related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution and two (2) years of progressive technician level experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Experience installing water level gauges or similar equipment
Experience in developing reports concerning project status
Experience in maintaining detailed records
Experience performing analysis of findings
