MARKETING SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA)
USAJOBS is seeking a Marketing Support Assistant (OA) to serve in the Fleet and Family Support Center of NAVAL STATION. The role involves organizing, preparing, editing, and proofreading marketing materials, as well as providing administrative and clerical support.

Responsibilities
You will organize, prepare, edit, and proofread a variety of marketing materials
You will continuously review posted information of the Region's Quality of Life website
You will investigate malfunctions associated with information systems
You will answer questions and explain procedures relating to basic equipment usage and maintenance
You will utilize multiple office automation software, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, to produce a wide variety of documents involving complex formats and extensive revisions
You will provide supportive administrative and clerical work
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing administrative support (i.e., reviewing outgoing correspondence for required information and format); 2) Utilizing Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Office, Excel, and PowerPoint) to prepare reports; and 3) Using marketing techniques to design, develop and produce flyers, brochures, calendars and newsletters
