NEOGOV is seeking a Public Health Representative to join the Hamilton County Health & Social Services Division. The role involves locating, contacting, and referring individuals needing medical attention related to communicable diseases while providing education and intervention to prevent disease transmission.

Responsibilities

Locates, contacts, and refers people who need medical attention related to exposure to communicable diseases (CD’s)
Provides intervention, prevention, and education related to preventable disease transmission, including HIV/AIDS, STI, TB, and/or immunization/vaccination
Assesses Ryan White eligibility

Qualification

Public Health DegreeDisease Intervention CertificationCPR CertificationExperience in Public HealthBilingual (English/Spanish)

Required

Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health, Nursing, Health Education, Social Work, or a closely related field
One (1) year of experience in a related field
Must possess a valid driver's license
Certification for a Disease Intervention Specialist must be obtained within 3 months of date of hire
CPR Certification must be obtained within 3 months of date of hire

Preferred

Fluency in both English and Spanish

Hamilton County Government Retirement for Fulltime Employees:
Pension – Legacy Plan (hired prior to 10/1/2015), in which the employer contributes 14.70%.
