MCNCE VISTA Natural Resource Curriculum Developer
AmeriCorps is dedicated to fostering civic engagement and service learning, and they are seeking a VISTA member to develop a Natural Resource Curriculum for Fort Peck Community College. The role involves assessing community needs and building educational materials to enhance the Environmental Science program, ultimately aiming to improve employability in natural resource management for local students.

Responsibilities
Assess interests and build place-based engaging educational materials to train students to meet those needs
Build the capacity of FPCC’s Environmental Science program to provide more effective education and training
Allow graduates to possess a broader range of specific skills to meet the needs of more employers in natural resources management
Help break the cycle of poverty by allowing graduates to find and maintain decent jobs and careers
Bring more income to the community while meeting the workforce needs of the community and region for wildlife conservation, improved water quality, climate resiliency and food sovereignty
