Maintenance Repairman 1
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a committed Maintenance Repairman to join Troop J in Lancaster. This role involves a wide range of maintenance responsibilities including custodial work, grounds maintenance, and skilled repairs in various trades such as electrical and plumbing.

Responsibilities
Painting, sanding, and staining walls and other surfaces throughout the facility
Repairing or replacing damaged flooring; clearing clogged drains and fixing leaking faucets; completing minor electrical wiring repairs; repairing or replacing light fixtures; and performing various minor repairs to doors, locks, furniture, equipment, and windows
Maintaining the surrounding outdoor areas by shoveling snow, sweeping, and clearing walkways of snow and ice; keeping grounds free of litter and debris; and plowing driveways and parking areas
Mowing lawns, trimming grass around fixed objects, pruning shrubs and trees, weeding, removing leaves, and watering as needed
Operating and maintaining tools and machinery used for snow removal and groundskeeping, including changing oil, replacing filters and spark plugs, cleaning equipment, and sharpening blades
Performing custodial duties such as cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, mirrors, furniture, walls, and other surfaces; emptying trash and recycling containers and restocking custodial supplies
Qualification
Required
Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities
This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License
You must be able to perform essential job functions
You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
