Equipment Technician (AMHS-Automated Material Handling System) (Manassas)

Responsibilities
Ability to collaborate with team members and communicate and address preventative maintenance needs for manufacturing equipment performance, while proactively identifying and resolving safety concerns. Have ability to see and respond to potentially dangerous situations
Identify performance gaps and implement strategic improvements, while documenting hardware and process deviations to help prevent recurring problems in tool functionality
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the cleanroom area by adhering to housekeeping protocols, ensuring that every item is properly stored and organized
Participate in teams focused on enhancing equipment availability and implementing improvement initiatives
Attend Micron and/or vendor training to improve understanding of various semiconductor tools
Stand for long periods, walk several miles per shift, lift 25–40 lbs occasionally, and perform tasks requiring bending, crouching, stooping, crawling ability to climb ladders and work with arms raised above hear level or kneeling while navigating safely over uneven terrain or within confined spaces to perform job duties effectively
Maintain situational awareness to identify hazards promptly, and consistently wear required PPE (e.g., respirators, cleanroom garments) to protect product quality and maintain a safe, contamination-free environment. The ability to wear personal protective gear including a respirator breathing apparatus
Working and leading projects related to manufacturing equipment maintenance and improvement, with a focus on meeting scope, schedule, and budget requirements
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in relevant technical fields such as Mechatronics, Electronics, or Robotics and/or 2 years of experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment, automation, and/or technical military experience
Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off), progress between day and night shifts every 4 months, and adapt to different shifts and overtime as needed to support business operations. Report to site as scheduled
2 years of experience performing preventative maintenance and repair on manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime, and maintaining industrial equipment, automation
2 years of experience in using mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills to fix and resolve manufacturing equipment issues
2 years' experience maintaining manufacturing equipment, automation, and/or technical military experience
